Dog's Day

There’s a landslide coming,
you can hear wires humming,
distant dogs are barking,
all the walls are crumbling.
The Kingdom’s finally falling
to days we’ll all come crawling,
bring it quick – stop stalling….

The water’s swelling in the bay,
my mind is willing it each day,
this dream could carry me away,
but devil dog will have his way.

There’s a cold storm brewing,
All the way to ruin,
Heart-ache over-flowing -
going one way only,
and you’ve got to get out of the way,
you’ve got to get out of the way,
‘cause it’s one way only…

but the lilac glow of a world below,
and I won’t care if everything blows –
